Transporting a horse on its own in a trailer or horsebox can be extremely stressful for both horse and anxious owner! Many horse owners have experienced horses in transit, or at shows and competitions, constantly neighing and calling out for other equine company. Extensive trials by several universities, including Lincoln (By Prof. Daniel Mills) and Nottingham Trent University proved mirrors to have a very beneficial effect. Another study proving that giving horses a mirror reduces stress during travel has won the Royal Agricultural Society of England's "Eqvalan Duo Equine" Thesis of the Year award.

Theses studies have all found that having a mirror as a "travelling companion" is the next best thing to having an equine companion and can make a real difference to a horse on its own, by providing reassurance and a calming effect on many horses that do have to travel or stand alone in a trailer or horsebox.

The 'Equibrand' Travelling Companion Mirror measures 580 x 413mm (23" x 16.25") and is supplied predrilled with screw holes in each of the safely rounded corners. If preferred, it can be fixed with the special industrial strength adhesive pads supplied.
